The best collegiate triathletes will meet in Reno on April 22nd for the 2006 USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship. Competitors from the top 25 universities will be competing in a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run for the opportunity to be crowned the 2006 National Champions. You can expect teams from Purdue University, University of Colorado, Stanford, University of Florida, West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, University of Montana, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Colorado State, and many more. Past Collegiate National Champions, including T.J. Tollakson (University of Iowa), Justine Whipple (U.S. Naval Academy), Jarrod Shoemaker (Boston University) and Sunny Gilbert (University of Colorado), have moved on from the college ranks to compete among the world’s best triathletes.  Former Collegiate National Champion Victor Plata (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) burst onto the international stage as part of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team in Athens, Greece. USA Triathlon’s Collegiate National Championship has produced many great athletes over the years and has also introduced this great sport to many people over the years. 

Venue: Sparks Marina, Reno/Sparks.
Parking is available in the Western Village Hotel parking lot and the event is free and open to the public.
