Junior Lauren Brown was one of seven 49ers to be named preseason All-Atlantic 10. Brown, Bryant and Huecker Headline Seven 49ers On Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Teams
Seven members of the two-time defending Atlantic 10 champion Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team were voted preseason All-Atlantic 10. Junior goalkeeper Lauren Brown (Frenchtown, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional) and sophomores defender Whitney Bryant (Marietta, GA/Lassiter) and midfielder Sam Huecker (Crestwood, KY/Oldham County) were named to the preseason All-Atlantic 10 team. Four members of Charlotte's Atlantic 10 best recruiting class were named to the preseason Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. Freshmen forward Oni Bernard (Toronto, Ontario/Agincourt Collegiate), midfielder Jonna Handra (Port Vue, PA/South Allegheny), midfielder Jenna McKeon (Bayside, NY/St. Francis Prep) and midfielder Macky Wingo (Raleigh, NC/Saint Mary's) were selected to the preseason A-10 All-Rookie team. The preseason All-Atlantic 10 teams were selected by a vote of the league's 14 head coaches.
