Jessica Lewis scored twice in UCI's win Friday

DAVIS, Calif.
The Anteaters took a 2-1 lead after the opening period and matched the Aggies goal for goal in each of the remaining periods. The Anteaters broke a 6-6 tie as senior Jessica Lewis and junior Sarah Frost each scored to put UCI up 8-6 midway through the final period.
Senior keeper Lauren Machanis had eight saves for the 'Eaters. Keeper Casey Hines had four saves for the Aggies.
The Anteaters return to action Saturday at 10:15 a.m. as they face No. 3 California at 12:00 p.m. in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play at Spieker Aquatics Center.
