Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst fell to Siena College 8-6 on Saturday afternoon at Mercyhurst Northeast in double overtime in both schools season opener.

At the end of the first quarter, Mercyhurst led 2-1. Siena took the lead 4-3 at the end of the third. Mercyhurst tied the score in the third 5 all and 6 all in the fourth forcing two three-minute overtime quarters. Siena pulled ahead in the firs overtime to win the game 8-6.

Carrie Willison had three goals on the game with two saves. Christie Haibach, Rhonda Marable, and Christine Somera added a goal each. Marable added one assist, Somera added two, and Jenna Jefferds added one.

Up next for the Lakers is the Cal State East Bay Tournament in Hayward, Cal. on March 1st and 2nd.
