NCAA TOURNAMENT - After earning the first NCAA Tournament berth in program history, the Saint Louis volleyball team (22-8 overall, 11-2 Atlantic 10) awaits the tournament selection show on Sun., Nov. 26. ESPNews will carry the announcement at approximately 2 p.m. (CT).
TITLE TIME - The Billikens won three matches in three days to earn their first Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament title. SLU swept Fordham in the first round, beat Temple 3-1 in the semifinals and downed host Dayton 3-1 to claim the championship. In the regular-season, the Billikens earned a share of the 2006 A-10 title, their first regular-season conference crown since 1989 when SLU won the Mid-Continent Conference championship.
COACH Anne Kordes - Head coach Anne Kordes is in her third season as head coach and has compiled a 51-41 record. This season, she led the Billikens to the program's first NCAA Tournament berth and was selected as the A-10 Coach of the Year. The Billikens won the A-10 Tournament and a share of the 2006 A-10 regular-season title, the first for the program since 1989. Kordes has coached one All-American, five All-Conference selections, four conference All-Rookie selections and one Rookie of the Year. In addition, under Kordes, the Billikens have had one Academic All-District selection.
DOUBLE DEUCE - The Billikens have posted 22 victories so far, the most since the 1999 squad tallied 23 wins. The .733 winning percentage is the best since the 1998 team notched a .750 mark.
HELPING HAND - With 1,494 assists, freshman Whitney Roth has shattered the previous SLU single-season record of 1,423 by Lelia Roberts in 1998.
CAN YOU DIG IT - Freshman Whitney Behrens has compiled 527 digs to brake the school record of 483 set by Suzanne Oren in 1996.

1,000 KILLS - Against Temple, senior Angela Powers became the ninth Billiken to register at least 1,000 kills in a career. She has amassed 1,032 to date and is ninth all-time on SLU's career kills list.
SIX PACK - The Billikens have won six straight matches, the longest streak since the team opened the 1999 season with 10 consecutive victories.
TOURNEY AWARDS - Sammi McCloud was named the A-10 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, while Whitney Behrens and Whitney Roth were selected to the All-Tournament team.
BIG BEAR - Freshman Whitney Behrens (St. Louis, Mo. / Incarnate Word) was selected to the All-Tournament team ... had 18 digs and an assist in the A-10 Championship match against Dayton ... registered 19 digs and two assists versus Temple ... finished with 17 digs and four assists against Fordham.
MERRY CHRISTMAS - Sophomore Lauren Christman (Oak Brook, Ill. / Hinsdale Central) hit .727 with eight kills on just 11 swings and eight blocks in the championship match against Dayton ... had eight kills and five blocks versus Temple ... notched seven kills with five blocks, three assists against Fordham.
SARAH SMILE - Sophomore Sarah Entzeroth (St. Louis, Mo. / Duchesne) added 15 digs against Dayton ... finished with 15 digs and one assist against Temple ... chipped in two digs and an ace in the Fordham match.
ON THE BUTTON - Junior Sutton Lasater (St. Louis, Mo. / Marquette) hit .400 with 13 kills against Dayton ... chipped in eight kills and six blocks versus Temple ... notched six kills and three blocks in the Fordham match.
CLOUD NINE - Freshman Sammi McCloud (Columbia, Ill. / Columbia) was named the A-10 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player ... had nine kills, including the match winner, with 11 digs against Dayton in the A-10 championship match ... notched 14 kills, 15 digs and seven blocks in the Temple match ... hit .367 with 15 kills and 11 digs versus Fordham.
TATER TOT - Senior Tatyana Menshikova (Ivanovo, Russia / N2) launched 18 kills in the A-10 title match against Dayton ... notched 18 kills against Temple ... had 13 kills against Fordham.
FOR RICHER OR POORER - Senior Jessica Poorbaugh (Mackinaw, Ill. / Deer Creek-Mackinaw) chipped in five digs and two assists against Dayton ... finished the Temple match with eight digs and a service ace ... added seven digs, two aces and an assist versus Fordham.
POWER PLAY - Senior Angela Powers (Leawood, Kan. / St. Thomas Aquinas) set a career high with 24 kills in the A-10 championship match against Dayton ... tied her then-previous career best with 23 kills and added seven digs in the Temple match ... had four kills with two blocks against Fordham.
