KNOXVILLE, Tenn.-----The Tennessee Lady Vols swept Georgia, 3-0 (30-14, 30-22, 30-28), at the Stokley Center on Sunday afternoon.
Tennessee (17-7, 7-5) finished with a .250 hitting percentage to Georgia's .088 mark, and the Lady Vols out blocked the Dogs 13-7.
The loss is Georgia's (14-10, 7-5) third straight after winning six consecutive conference matches during the month of October.
"I thought Tennessee passed great today," said Georgia head coach Mary Buczek. "I was disappointed in our effort. We did respond in game three, but we did not come out today ready to play. And Tennessee did a good job taking us out of our comfort zone - they played a great match."
Alexandra Oquendo led Georgia with 16 kills and four total blocks. Julia Petruschke added 11 kills, Luresa Forsythe finished with 17 digs and Margot Wallace had 36 assists.
Andrea Fisher, who has missed six matches with a shoulder injury, returned to action with two kills and 11 digs.
Tennessee's Sarah Blum led the Lady Vols front line with 11 total blocks.
The Bulldogs return home this weekend for a match against LSU on Friday at 7 p.m. EST. Western Division leader Arkansas travels to Athens on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be played at the UGA Ramsey Center.
