OXFORD, Miss. (www.olemisssports.com)- The Rebels fought hard, but were unable to withstand the offensive pressure applied by the sixth-ranked Gators as Ole Miss (11-3, 1-2 SEC) fell to Florida (10-0, 3-0 SEC) by a score of 3-0 (11-30, 20-30, 23-30).

Katie Kramer and Caitlin Weiss led the Rebels with nine kills each, while Rachel Kieckhaefer turned in a double-double with 18 assists and 11 digs. She was the only Rebel to reach double digits in digs on the night.

Marcie Hampton paced the Gator attack with 13 kills and was the only Florida player to reach double digits in the balanced attack. Elyse Cusak led the Gator defense with 15 digs on the night.

Ole Miss also struggled with the Florida net defense, as the Rebels were out-blocked 16.0 to 3.0 for the match.

"They are the sixth-ranked team in the nation for a reason," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin. "They played extremely well tonight. At times we did some good things, we just were never able to sustain them."

It was all Gators in the first game as the visitors from Florida stormed out to the early lead and never looked back on the way to a 30-11 victory in the first frame.

The second game saw the Rebels take the early lead, moving out as much as five points at 8-3. The Gators responded, however, claiming the lead at 13-12 and did not relinquish it on the way to a 30-22 win in the second game.

The third game started out with the Gators in control before Ole Miss would make a late run. The early deficit proved to be too much for the Rebels to overcome, though, as Florida claimed the match with a 30-23 win in game three.

Ole Miss will return to action on Sunday when the Rebels will play host to the Gamecocks of South Carolina. The Gamecocks fell to No. 22 LSU by a score of 3-0 on Friday.
