The Tulane volleyball team travels to Huntsville, Texas for the Domino's Invitational hosted by Sam Houston State on Friday and Saturday. The Green Wave take on South Dakota State on Friday at 11:30 a.m., and Sam Houston State at 7 p.m.

The Green Wave look to remain unbeaten in 2007, having won the Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic last Friday and Saturday with wins over Furman and a Colorado team that was ranked 31st in the preseason AVCA poll. Tulane then defeated the University of New Orleans on Tuesday for its first road win of the season.

The 2007 Tulane team features a balanced attack with three hitters averaging more than 3.00 kills per game. Bridget Wells, a junior outside hitter, has stepped up with a consistent effort in each of her first three matches this season. First she turned in a career-high tying 17 kills against Colorado, and followed that up with 14 more kills against Furman. Her 11 kills against UNO came on 30 swings with just three errors. She is averaging 3.23 kills per game.

Sophomore outside hitter Ksenija Vlaskovic, the AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year is averaging 3.31 kills per game, second on the team. Tulane is led by Sara Radosevic, as the junior outside hitter averages 4.31 kills per game with 2.23 digs per game.

Freshman outside hitter Amaris Genemaras has chipped in 1.46 kills per game, a total of 19 kills in three matches, while middle blocker Jen Linder continues to put the ball away with efficiency. She averages 2.08 kills per game, but connects for a .476 hitting percentage.

The Green Wave will face Texas-Pan American on Saturday, at 9 a.m. before wrapping up its tournament play at 4:30 p.m. against Louisiana-Lafayette.
