Sophomore Charlotte Martin is slotted #121 in the ITA preseason national singles rankings

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head Coach Lin Loring, the winningest coach in Division-I women's tennis history, begins his 32nd season at the helm of the Indian program on Friday when the Hoosiers travel south to compete in the Bulldog Invitational at the University of Georgia.
A round robin event of singles and doubles, the field features the host Bulldogs, Duke, Indiana, Ole Miss, TCU, Virginia and Wake Forest. On Friday and Saturday, play will begin with doubles at 10 a.m. and then singles action is slated for 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, doubles will begin at 9 a.m. followed by singles at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
IU sophomore Charlotte Martin begins the season ranked # 121 nationally, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason rankings released recently. Martin posted an overall singles mark of 26-13 (6-4 in Big Ten) as a freshman playing No. 3 for the Hoosiers. She showed the ability to challenge the country's elite by defeating Northwestern's Sam Murray last season, who comes in at #30 in the preseason rankings.
