Danielle Crill Signs National Letter of Intent

Women's Tennis Inks Standout Recruit

Head Women's Tennis coach Tim O' Brien has announced that Danielle Crill of Cornwall, N.Y. has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Siena College.

Crill, has played varsity for four years at Cornwall Central High School. She was captain of the team the past two years where she represented Section IX three of her four years at the New York State Public High Schools Championships. Crill was a member of last year's winning team from the Hudson Valley at the 2007 Empire State Summer Games. She also was a gold medalist in the 2006 summer games.

"Danielle plays in one of the toughest sections in the state. She is used to playing Division I level competition," O'Brien said. "Danielle is a very mature young lady. Everyone on the team was very impressed with her during her official visit in February. She will be a great fit in the lineup as we prepare to move back to the top of the MAAC next year."

In addition to tennis, Danielle also finds time to teach at indoor facilities in Chester and New Windsor. She also enjoys doing volunteer work at the Cornwall Hospital. Danielle will be receiving a Presidential Scholarship in addition to her athletic grant. Danielle's brother, Tim, is currently a freshman at Siena. Danielle joins Jasleen Sandhu as members of the new class.
