WEST POINT, N.Y. - The road to the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships begins on Wednesday when the seeding is announced for the 64-team tournament live on ESPNEWS at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The Army women's tennis team will find out it first round opponent and destination during the Selection Show as the Black Knights make their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2003. Army will be sent to one of 16 campus locations for the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament which is set to begin on May 13. The first and second round sites will also be announced during the Selection Show. The winner of each of those sections will move on to the Dan McGill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., on the campus of the University of Georgia where the final four rounds of the NCAA Tournament will be held from May 19-28.
The Black Knights earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament by winning the Patriot League Championship with a 4-0 victory over Bucknell on April 17 at the Malek Tennis Center. It was Army's first conference crown since 2003. Senior captain Marissa Limsiaco and freshman Amy Morgenstern shared Tournament MVP honors as the pair teamed up to win a two doubles matches and a singles match apiece during the two-day event. Freshman Christine Ong joined Limsiaco and Morgenstern on the All-Patriot League First Team while juniors Megan Noble, Amanda Paluch and freshman Jennifer Segar were placed on the All-Patriot League Second Team.

Army set an Academy record with 23 wins on the season opposite only four setbacks. The Black Knights also registered a perfect 5-0 mark in conference play and have not lost a regular season Patriot League match since 2002.
The Black Knights have made four NCAA Tournament appearances in the program's 26 year history (1999-2001, 2003). Army fell to California, 4-0, in its last NCAA Tournament competition in 2003. Seniors Limsiaco, Lyndsey Nott, Pam Chavez and juniors Noble and Paluch were all members of that team.
Thirty-one teams receive automatic berths into the NCAA Championship via conference titles with 33 bids remaining to be claimed by the at large selection process. Stanford is the defending champion.
