Women's Tennis Closes MAAC Season with 6-1 Win over Manhattan

Barvoets and Lebedev Complete Senior Seasons Undefeated

The Siena women's tennis team defeated Manhattan 6-1 today at the Capital Region Tennis Club in Albany. It was the final MAAC match of the season and the Saints honored the five members of their senior class.

Siena clinches the #3 seed for the upcoming MAAC Championships. The Saints will be looking to defend their 2006 MAAC Championship.

The Saints won five of six singles matches on senior day and both doubles matches contested. Seniors Taylor Barvoets and Julia Lebedev won at #2 and #4 singles respectively to finish their MAAC seasons undefeated.

Barvoets, Lebedev, Sugam Langer, Molly Scullin and Arti Iyer make up the Siena senior class.
