March 31, 2008

CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati women's tennis team finished the weekend with a split after dropping a 7-0 decision to Boston University at the Queen City Racquet and Fitness Club in Cincinnati.

In doubles action, the Bearcats came close to taking the first point of the match as Valeriya Dandik and Elizabeth Young took the No. 2 match, 8-6, and the No. 1 team of Alizee Paradis and Jennifer Rowen came up just short, losing 9-7.

Cincinnati fought hard in singles play as Dandik and Jennifer Rowen each took their matches into third-set rallies. Dandik came up short in the third set 10-7, while Rowen fell 10-6.

The Bearcats close out regular-season BIG EAST play this weekend at Marquette on April 4 and at DePaul on April 5.
