ST. LOUIS - First-year softball coach John Conway today announced his coaching staff for the 2007 season. Bill Rosner and Randi Null have both been added as part-time assistants, while Kendra Moore will serve as graduate asssistant coach. Terry Moore, M.D., will work with the team on a day-to-day basis in a volunteer capacity.
"All four coaches are connected with the softball scene throughout the region," Conway said. "While each will have a specific specialty, they are all extremely knowledgeable about the sport and can pitch in during a variety of situations. The knowledge they pass along to the team will be very beneficial as we try to rebuild the SLU softball program."
Rosner follows Conway to SLU after serving as his assistant coach at Fontbonne University during the previous six seasons. There, he helped the Griffins to three conference championships and three NCAA Tournament berths. He has also served on the staffs of the St. Louis Lazers and St. Louis Chaos fast-pitch softball club teams.
Null will work primarily with the Billikens' revamped pitching staff, which includes a mix of two returnees and four newcomers. Her playing experience includes four seasons at Missouri Baptist College in St. Louis and a four-year playing career at Francis Howell Central High School. She served as pitching instructor in 2005 for a Fontbonne team that posted 34 wins and claimed a conference championship.
Kendra Moore enters her first collegiate coaching assignment after a standout playing career at SIU Carbondale. She is a two-time NFCA Academic All-American and was a member of the Missouri Valley Conference's Honor Roll each year. She is currently a physical education teacher at Parkway South High School, where she played four years of both softball and soccer.
Dr. Terry Moore, a professor in the SLU medical school, is the director of the division of rheumatology and pediatric rheumatology at the Saint Louis University Medical Center. He has been active in the St. Louis club softball scene for over 25 years, having served as a coach for the locally-renowned St. Louis Heat. He has also helped local club teams to appearances in numerous regional and national tournaments.
