Butler Softball Coach Resigns Position

Aug. 21, 2006

Angie Nicholson has resigned her position as softball coach at Butler University to accept a similar post at Cleveland State University. Nicholson, who served as Butler's head coach for just one season, will begin her new duties in Cleveland on August 24.

Nicholson was named Butler's softball coach in September of 2005. In her lone season at Butler, she led the Bulldogs to a 17-30-1 record. She had previously served as softball coach at Cuyahoga Community College for four years and as head softball coach at Ursuline College for one season. She had a five-year record of 120-81.

Butler will begin a search for Nicholson's replacement immediately.
