Softball's Alyson Intihar Named to ECAC All-Star Team
Rookie is one of three Ivy players on all-star team

Intihar was also named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Region first-team earlier this summer and also was named first-team All-Ivy. The freshman was also named a co-MVP for the Big Red this season.
The rookie received season honors after starting in all but one game for the Big Red. Intihar proved her adaptability during her freshman season starting 15 games at first, 25 at second, and one at third base along with seven games as shortstop. Batting third for the Big Red, Intihar opened her collegiate career with a .351 batting average. The freshman led the team, and was second in the Ivy, with 11 home runs. Intihar hit a walk-off grand slam to lead Cornell to a 10-9 win over Wagner on March 19. She led the team with a .656 slugging percentage which was good for third among the Ancient Eight. Second in total bases with 99, Intihar batted .454 against league opponents putting her in second in the Ivy. Leading the team with 41 total RBI, she notched four RBI in three games during the season. The two-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week, was also named Ivy Player of the Week on April 24 after leading the Big Red with a .550 for the week. Intihar helped Cornell win three games over
