CHICAGO - Angie Funston perfectly executed a suicide squeeze in the bottom of the fourth inning to provide the winning margin as fourth-seeded Loyola University Chicago (21-24-1) defeated No. 6 seed Green Bay (13-25), 1-0, this morning in an elimination game at Loyola Softball Park in Horizon League Championship action. With the win, the Ramblers advance to face No. 5 seed UIC in an elimination game at 11 a.m.

Loyola right-hander Amy Solava held Green Bay's offense in check as only two Phoenix runners reached second base in the game. A First Team All-Horizon League selection, Solava scattered four hits and struck out six while not issuing a walk en route to her 15th win of the spring.

Lindsay O'Gean led off the fourth inning with a bunt single then moved to second base on a passed ball and to third on an Anna Bluemel wild pitch before Funston dropped down a perfect bunt to score the winning run.

Loyola and UIC split a doubleheader in the only meeting between the teams earlier this year.
