NEW YORK, N.Y. - Columbia evened up its record to 23-23 with two wins over St. Francis (N.Y.). The Lions took the first game 3-1 and the second 5-0. In the final home games of her career, senior Marisa Marconi was 4-for-6 on the day with two homeruns, a double, a single and four RBI.
The Terriers took an early lead in game one, getting one run in the top of the first inning. Pitcher Jackie Adelfio gave up a walk and a hit, which was all St. Francis needed to score. The Lions took the lead in the bottom of the first, 3-1. With two outs, Marconi hit her first home run of the day to tie the score 1-1. Kacy Krisman followed up with a walk and then stole second. Columbia then hit two doubles down the left field line in a row with Ciji Rich scoring Krisman and Lacie Nelson scoring Rich to end the scoring for the inning.
Adlefio scored the win for Columbia, pitching a two-hitter and having nine strikeouts. Nelson finished the game going a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI while Marconi was 1-for-3 with a solo homerun.
In the second game, the Lions took the lead in the first inning and never looked back, beating St. Francis 5-0. Marconi hit her second homerun of the day, this one a three-run shot over the left field fence to make the score 3-0. CU scored again in the third inning as Marconi and Krisman hit back to back doubles to make the score 4-0. Columbia scored its final run of the game in the sixth inning as sophomore Amy Cass scored Rich from second on a hard single to centerfield.

Megan Ivey pitched a two-hit shutout for the Lions and tallied three strikeouts. Marconi finished the second game going 3-for-3 with a three run homer, a double and a single. Cass, Krisman and Rich were all 2-for-3 in the game.
The Lions complete their season on the road facing their final Ivy opponents, Havard and Cornell. CU will take on the Crimson tomorrow, April 29th in Cambridge, Mass. at 3 p.m. Columbia will play the Big Red in Ithaca, N.Y. on Sunday,
