FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 12/12 Fresno State softball team travels to San Jose State for a three-game WAC series at a crucial time in the season. Fresno State is 5-3 in the conference behind Nevada and Hawai'i who play each other this week. The Bulldogs and Spartans will play a single game Friday at 3 p.m. followed by a doubleheader Saturday at noon.

This Week's Matchup
The Bulldogs have somewhat of a slow week with just three games, but crucial ones, as they take on San Jose State in a three-game WAC series beginning Friday.
In the overall series, the Bulldogs lead 68-6 which began in 1986. Fresno State has won the last four.
SJSU is 21-25 on the year and 3-6 in WAC play. They host UC Davis on Wednesday before the Bulldogs head to town.

Fresno State went 4-1 with a doubleheader sweep over UCSB on Tuesday before going 2-1 in conference play at La. Tech.
National Polls
Fresno State stayed at No. 12 for the second-straight week in the USA Softball poll. The Bulldogs moved up a spot in the NFCA poll to No. 12 this week, to tie its highest ranking since the 2004 season.
WAC Honors
Freshman pitcher Morgan Melloh won her fourth WAC Pitcher of the Week Honor for her performances last week at UCSB and La. Tech. Melloh pitched in and completed all five games and went 4-1. She reached the 300 strikeout plateau on the season, becoming just the sixth Bulldog in school history to reach that mark.
