LACEY, Wash. - For the second time this season, a softball doubleheader between Western Washington University and Saint Martin's College at Saints Field was postponed because of wet grounds.
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader has tentatively been rescheduled for Fri., Apr. 29 (2 p.m.) at Bellingham.
Western, 10-13 overall and 4-2 in league action, has won four straight games and six of its last seven.
The Vikings next host Humboldt State, ranked No.3 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll, in doubleheader action Saturday (1 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m.). The first two games are GNAC counters.
The Lumberjacks are 44-1 overall and riding a 32-game winning streak. They are the No.1-rated team in the West Region and top the GNAC standings with a perfect 14-0 record.
