Chicago, Ill. - The UIC softball team resumes play with a pair of mid-week non-conference contests before heading to Rogers Park this weekend for a three-game Horizon League series versus city-rival Loyola.

The Flames (28-19, 5-1), who are in sole possession of first place in the Horizon League, kick things off on Tuesday afternoon with a single game at Valparaiso (3-27).

UIC then returns home on Thursday evening for a single game with Notre Dame (24-8), one of three teams the Flames eliminated at last year's NCAA Regional Championships. First pitch versus the Fighting Irish at Flames Field is set for 7:00 p.m.

UIC wraps things up this weekend with a three-game series at Loyola Softball Park versus the Ramblers (10-20, 3-2).

The series opens with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and concludes with a single game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The Flames won all five meetings with the Ramblers last season, including a 4-0 triumph in the Horizon League Tournament title game.
