Florida State To Host NCAA Tournament Third Round Action

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State will host Boston College in third round action of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship at the Seminole Soccer Complex on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. The Seminoles defeated the Eagles 1-0 back on October 5 in a game played in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

The Seminoles went on the road last weekend and posted a pair of shutouts in defeating Mississippi Valley State (7-0) and Auburn (1-0) to open postseason play. The Eagles were equally impressive posting a pair of shutouts over Central Connecticut State (3-0) and Northeastern (4-0).

Saturday's match-up will mark the second time these two schools have faced off in the NCAA Tournament. After playing to a 0-0 tie in first round action back in 2004, Boston College advanced passed Florida State 3-1 in a penalty kick shootout down in Gainesville, Fla.

Tickets for Saturday's third round action are now on sale at the FSU Ticket Office or by calling 888-FSU-NOLE. Fans can also purchase tickets online at www.seminoles.com.
