Lions Win In 2OT Against Moravian

Coleen Weber scored the game's only goal just 1:23 into the second overtime

Saratoga Springs NY… Senior Coleen Weber (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview) scored the game’s only goal just 1:23 into the second overtime as The College of New Jersey women’s soccer team pulled out a 1-0 victory over Moravian College in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.

Weber’s goal came on an assist from senior Jamie Kunkel (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) sending the Lions into the next round where they will face Western Connecticut State University on Sunday in a 1 p.m. start. The Colonials moved past host Skidmore College 5-4 on penalty kicks.

TCNJ is now 13-6-1 on the season, while Moravian saw its season conclude at 14-6-2.

TCNJ keeper Jessica Clarke (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) finished with a game-high six saves for her seventh shutout of the season.
