About the Pilots
Portland carries a 18-1-0 mark into Sunday's Second Round match, including a 17-match winning streak. The Pilots lone loss was against then-0No. 3 UCLA (Aug. 30) and they have since gone on to defeat five ranked opponents including then-No. 1 USC (Sept. 1). Portland has scored 64 goals this season while only allowing six for a 0.276 goals-against average, good for second in the nation.

Dominating Defense
With its 1-0 victory over Washington State (Nov. 14), Texas collected its 11th shutout of the season, breaking the single-season record (10) set in 2006 and 2007. The Longhorns have allowed a program-low 12 goals over 19 matches this season, including program-lows during the regular season (nine goals) and Big 12 play (five goals). Senior keeper Dianna Pfenninger has made 83 saves, good for eighth in the UT single-season record books while holding a 0.62 goals against average, which is currently the best mark in UT history.

Bouncing Back
Texas Soccer doesn't let a loss sit long as its win over Washington State (Nov. 14) marked the third victory after a loss for UT this season. Texas rebounded after losses at Nebraska (Oct. 3) and Colorado (Oct. 10). The Longhorns have not suffered back-to-back losses since the 2005 season (9/23 and 9/25) and prior to that, you have to go back to the 2003 campaign to find any two-loss stretches.

Anderson Moving Up the Board
Junior Emily Anderson, playing mainly on the UT backline prior to conference action, is fourth on the team in scoring with four goals and one assist for nine points. The junior has netted one gamewinner and connected on four of her nine shots on goal. Anderson's four goals are a season-high for the Austin product.
