Iowa State stays on the road for its next two games ... this weekend, ISU travels to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State ... the Cyclones will play Oklahoma on Friday night and will take on Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon ... the Cyclones will look for their fourth-straight league win and will play on the road for the second consecutive weekend ... most recently, the Cyclones defeated Missouri, 2-1, on Oct. 10 ... junior Kristina Baumann leads the team with 26 shots and 11 shots on goal ... junior Amy Flores has 19 shots and freshman Erin Witte has 17, while both lead the team with eight points ... freshman Stephanie Kaphingst and sophomore Kate Kirwan have 16 and 13 shots, respectively ... Cyclones Earn Crucial League Points with Win at Missouri Iowa State continued its winning ways last weekend when it defeated Missouri, 2-0, on Sunday ... the Cyclones posted their third league win in a row and now sit at 3-2 in Big 12 play ... junior Amy Flores found the goal in the 50th minute when she beat a Missouri defender for the goal ... it was her fourth goal in the last three games ... in the 72nd minute, freshman Brittanie Waddell iced the game when she took an assist from Renee de St. Aubin and headed in the ball ... it was Waddell's third goal of the year ... on Sunday, ISU defeated Texas Tech, 3-0 ... goaltender Joanna Haig had 13 saves.

Haig Named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week Iowa State freshman Joanna Haig was named the Big 12 Soccer Newcomer of the Week (Oct. 11) after she helped lead Iowa State to its third straight conference win with a 2-0 shutout of Missouri on Sunday ... the freshman goalkeeper made 13 saves in her second shut out of the year ... the Inver Grove Heights, Minn., native has not allowed a goal in two-and-a-half games and has allowed only one goal in the last three contests with 23 saves ... she currently ranks third in the league standings with 56 saves and is tied for fifth with two shut outs.

Head Coach Rebecca Hornbacher Rebecca Hornbacher is in her third season at Iowa State and has a 18-28-5 overall record ... with a win against Missouri on Oct. 10, she is the second on the ISU coaches all-time wins list ... former head coach Cathy Klein had 41 wins as the Cyclone mentor ... last season Hornbacher led the Cyclones to a 5-10-4 overall record, including a 2-1 start to the season ... under Hornbacher, Iowa State is 7-4-1 at home in Big 12 play ... in 2003, she led the Cyclones to a best-ever 3-0 start ... the squad's 2002 Big 12 record of 4-6 and the conference tournament appearance were both firsts for a first-year coach at Iowa State ... she has seven years of experience in Big 12 soccer as a player, assistant coach and head coach ... she was a member of Big 12 championship teams at Nebraska (1996, player) and Baylor (1998, graduate assistant coach).

About Oklahoma Oklahoma (6-4-3, 1-1-2 Big 12) is in its sixth season under head coach Randy Evans ... the Sooners enter the game against Iowa State having won two of their last three games ... last weekend, Missouri defeated both Baylor and Texas Tech, beating both teams by a score of 2-1 ... Savannah Scott leads the Sooners on the field with six goals and has one assist ... Allyson Kucera and Becky Nelson have three goals each ... goaltender Catherine Wade has 33 saves and has a 3-1-1 overall record.

About Oklahoma State Oklahoma State (10-2-2, 2-2-1 Big 12) heads into the weekend looking to extend it's two-game unbeaten streak to three games ... the Cowgirls will take on No. 8 Kansas before playing the Cyclones on Sunday ... last weekend, OSU defeated Texas Tech 4-2 and tied Baylor, 2-2, in double overtime ... the Cowgirls are led by Adriane Radtke and Jolene Schweitzer, who each have eight goals this season ... Jere Boykin is second with five goals ... Oklahoma State is coached by Karen Hancock, who is in her eighth season.
