KANSAS CITY, Ks. - West Florida women's soccer took an impressive leap in the national poll this week, entering the nation's top ten at No. 5. Announced on Tuesday, the Argos successful 4-0 start to the season pushed them past regional opponents Tampa and Rollins to become the current regional leader and the only South region team to hold a top ten ranking. UWF also stands as the only Gulf South representative in the nation's top 25 this week.

UWF has dominated early in the season, shutting out all four of their first opponents including Division I Jacksonville University this weekend. On Friday night, the women also shut down then ranked No. 15 regional opponent Saint Leo 2-0, who dropped out of the rankings this weekend. Collectively, the Argo women have blasted 18 goals without allowing their opponents to score yet.

The Argos continue their campaign this weekend, facing off against No. 14 Rollins College at 5 p.m. CT at the UWF Soccer Complex. Fans can catch all the action at www.GoArgos.com.
