Laura King scored a goal for the South Team in the IWLCA/Under Armour Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game.

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. - Attacker Laura King, a 2008 graduate of George Mason University, helped lead the South Team to an 11-8 victory over the North in the annual IWLCA/Under Armour Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game, held at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. on June 14. King, the second-leading goal scorer in school history, tallied a goal in the game.
Guiding the South to victory was the Patriots' coaching staff of Amy Bokker and Elizabeth Schaffner. Since the conclusion of the game, Bokker has announced that she has accepted the head coaching position at Stanford University after spending the past 11 years as the head coach at George Mason. She leaves as the winningest coach in program history.
In the contest, Maryland's Kelly Kasper won the opening draw control, her first of four, and scored two of the first five goals to give the South a 4-1 lead to open the game. After the South forged an 8-3 lead at the halftime break, Kasper opened the second half with a draw control and assisted on the first goal of the second stanza to move the margin to six, the largest lead of the game. Kasper was named the MVP of the game for her efforts.
In addition to the Division I game, there was also a Division II game and a Division III game. The North won the Division II game 11-6, while the South prevailed in the Division III game by a final score of 10-6.
