May 18, 2005

NEW YORK - Carrie Anderer has earned second team North All-Region, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced May 18. Anderer is the first Lion player to earn all-region honors.

The team's co-captain in 2005, Anderer set a school record for goals (40) and points (44) in a season. She scored seven times vs. Vermont for a Columbia single-game goals record.

Anderer, a rising senior, is one of 12 Ivy players to be chosen to the North Region teams and one of 19 players chosen to any of the all-region squads.

On May 10, Anderer was named Columbia's first-ever first team All-Ivy honoree. She was the Ivy League's Offensive Player of the Week twice this spring.

The all-region teams were selected by a vote of the region's IWLCA committee.
