Kameron Klauber Named ECAC East Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week

MIT Freshman Recorded Her First Career Hat-Trick on Saturday

Nov. 19, 2008

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Kameron Klauber has been named the ECAC East Women’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week after leading MIT to a 1-1 record over the weekend, tallying five points in two games, including her first career hat-trick in a 5-3 loss to Saint Anselm on Saturday.

In Friday’s 3-2 win over New England College, Klauber assisted on the Engineers’ first goal and scored the game tying goal early in the third period. After falling behind, 3-0, on Saturday, Klauber almost single handedly put MIT back in the game, scoring three goals in the final two periods, including a pair of unassisted goals less than two minutes apart to complete her hat-trick and slice the Saint Anselm lead to just one. The two goal spread was MIT’s closest margin of defeat against Saint Anselm in program history.

The Engineers travel to Salve Regina on Saturday, November 22 at 5:00 p.m. for their next ECAC East contest.
