UTEP Women's Golf Team in 14th Place at Season Opening Tourney

The UTEP women's golf team is in 14th place through two rounds of the Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic on Monday in Fort Collins, Colo.

The Miners fired rounds of 305 and 299 respectively for a total of 604. California leads the 19-team field (284-273-557) heading into Tuesday's final round.

UTEP's Deborah Martinez is tied for 21st place (72-74-146) and Ana Pastor is tied for 56th place (77-76-153). Three Miners -- Stephanie Herrera, Rosana Gomez and Liz Sobczak -- are tied for 68th place after carding a 155 on Monday.
