Duke Duo Leads Collegians Making U.S. Open Cut

The third round of the U.S. Women's Open was suspended due to darkness on Saturday evening, but a Duke duo became two of only four amateurs who made the cut. Mina Harigae was another of the four and is actually committed to attend Duke while currently a high school senior to be from Monterey, Calif.

 

The Blue Devils' Jennie Lee posted rounds of 71 and 74 and was four-over-par through 17 holes in her third round.  She is currently tied for 47th, which is the second-lowest amateur in the tournament. (Courtesy of Duke Athletics)

 

Fellow Dukie Amanda Blumenherst is tied for 53rd with rounds of 72 and 76 and is two-over-par through nine holes of her third round.  For the tournament, Lee is seven-over-par and Blumenherst is eight-over-par.
