Lincoln, California - Tulsa dropped to eighth place after two rounds of the NCAA West Regional on Friday afternoon at the par-72 Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The Golden Hurricane carded a second round 308 and has a 36-hole total of 595 heading into Saturday's final 18 holes.
The top-8 teams in the 21-team field will advance to the NCAA Championship finals, to be held May 20-24.
The nation's second-ranked Southern Cal Trojans remain atop the leader board with a two-round total of 571. USC carded a second round total of even-par 288. UNLV is in second-place with a 578 total, while Arizona State, who turned in the best round of the day with a 285 total, has a third-place total of 581. Oklahoma State (586), Arkansas and Arizona (588), Stanford (593) and Tulsa (595) rounds out the top-eight teams.
Tulsa has a one-stroke lead over three teams, tied for ninth place, including Michigan State, UC Davis and California. BYU sits two strokes behind Tulsa in 12th place with a 597 total, while Ohio State is three strokes back at 597.
Senior Leisl Hasbrouck had the best round of the day for the Hurricane with a two-over par 74. She had birdies on the par 3 seventh and par 4 12th holes, amidst four bogeys.
Fellow senior Tara Goedeken, with a second round score of 77, has a two round total of 148 and sits in 27th place. Another senior, Michaela Cavener, who carded an opening round 70, shot a round of 79 on Friday for a 36th place total of 149. Freshman Kelly Fuchik is tied with Cavener after her round of 78 today for a 149 total as well.
Hasbrouck is in 54th place with a 151 total, while junior Woori Shin has a score of 159 after today's score of 79 for 74th place.

Unlike Thursday, the Hurricane teed off from the first hole, whereas yesterday Tulsa started from hole 12. Today, the five Tulsa golfers combined to be 11-over par after the first nine holes, but played hole No. 11 one-under as a team. Hasbrouck had the only birdie on the front nine for the Hurricane as she sank a putt on the par-3 seventh hole. Fuchik and Goedeken sank their first birdies of the day on the 11th hole.
The final four holes proved to tough for the Hurricane as the five golfers combined to go 14-over par on holes 15, 16, 17 and 18.
Final round action takes place on Saturday.
The top eight teams and two individuals will advance from the three regional tournaments (East, Central and West) to the NCAA Championship finals, which will be held May 20-24 at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
