Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina University Department of Athletics will assist the Jackson County Christmas Store this Thursday (Dec. 9), when the Catamount men's basketball team hosts Atlanta Christian, and this Saturday (Dec. 11), when the Lady Cats host SoCon rival Furman.
In an attempt to bring as much holiday joy to as many area children as possible, Western asks that fans bring an unwrapped toy or a package of socks to the games. Those who participate will get two free tickets to the see the Catamounts and Chargers on Thursday, which is set to tip-off at 7 pm, or the Lady Cats and Paladins on Saturday, which is set to begin at 5 pm.

For further information on the Christmas Store or if you would like to sponsor a child, call United Christian Ministries (586-8228) during the office hours of 10 am-3 pm on Monday-Friday or contact organizers Wanda Kidd (293-9030) or Elaine White (293-5785). The Christmas Store is located at the Baptist Student Center on Western Carolina campus and will be open Dec. 7-17.
