How's everything at Amish Acres?
Pretty good, from what I hear. I haven't been there for a long time. I guess the arts and crafts festival was fabulous this fall.
What's your favorite line from your favorite movie, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"?
"Run away."
Why the fascination with Eminem?
It's just something I picked up in high school. I find his lyrics comical, rather than vulgar. There's more to him than people think there is. You have to be mature enough to listen to him, and you can't take it seriously. Plus he's beautiful.
When are you going to make your pilgrimage to 8 Mile?
Whenever I get a chance. Road trip this summer, maybe.
You consider cats to be your favorite animals. If you had your own pet cat, what would you name it?
I'd try to think of something creative and original, and it would depend on the cat. I could see myself naming it after a country singer at this point.
You were a volleyball player in high school. So what's better ... getting a kill in volleyball or getting a blocked shot in basketball?
You can't even compare the two of them! Both of them are total adrenaline rushes. In volleyball, I expected a kill almost every time I hit the ball. But in basketball, you never know when you'll have the opportunity to block a shot. So I'd have to say a blocked shot.
ESPN is your favorite channel. What would make it better?
Highlights of more women's sports.
What's the last movie you saw in the theatre? How was it?
Katie Gearlds and I went to see "The Cat in the Hat" on Friday. It was atrocious. It was funny, but it was more adult humor. Katie and I had been planning on taking Kelsey Curry, and if we would have taken her we would have felt horrible.
You live with teammate Hannah Anderson and team manager Lindsey Baker. How is life in the apartment?
It's interesting. I am the most laid-back person in the group. I don't let things bother me.
What's been the most memorable experience from Purdue basketball so far?
Definitely making it to the Sweet 16 and the Elite Eight. Coming from the South Bend area, it was great beating Notre Dame. Going against UConn revealed a lot of our character. Personally, it made me more confident knowing that I can go into big games and play.
You list Wings, Etc., as your favorite restaurant. What is the hottest wings sauce you've ever tasted?
I'm a wuss when it comes to hot stuff. Mild will get my sinuses going.
Who is the goofiest player on your team?
Erika Valek, of course.
If you could pull a prank on any of your teammates, who would it be and why?
Sharika Webb. She'll make fun of everybody and it's hilarious, but you can never get her back. You can never think of something to one-up her. A prank on her would be great.
