NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Quianna Chaney scored 17 points and No. 7 LSU beat Mississippi 80-36 Friday to reach the Southeastern Conference semifinals for the seventh straight year.
The top-seeded Lady Tigers (26-4) will play Kentucky or No. 23 Georgia on Saturday night. They're trying to reach the championship game for the fourth consecutive season but they have only two tournament titles and none since 2003.
If they need any extra motivation, they picked up their trophy for winning the regular-season championship before tipoff.
Ole Miss (13-16) has lost to LSU in the quarterfinals in four of the last years. The Lady Rebels now are 0-4 against the tournament's No. 1 seed, but this time they set a tournament record with the fewest points scored in a game. The previous mark had been 39 by Auburn in 2002.
Sylvia Fowles had 10 points and 10 rebounds for LSU.
Carla Bartee, a reserve, led Ole Miss with nine points.
