∙ Road to the Final 64
All records and rankings are through games of February 19.
1: Old Dominion (16-7)
The Monarchs have completed their rise to the top of the Watch list, extending their win streak to 14 straight with a tough road win at Delaware on Sunday. Of the four remaining regular season games, only the March 2nd trip to James Madison looks dangerous.
2: Utah (19-5)
Last week, we asked whether Utah was peaking at just the right moment. The Utes may be answering that question with wins - as two road wins pushed them to 10-1 in their last 11 games and within a half-game of first-place BYU in the Mountain West.
3: BYU (20-3)
BYU drops from first to third after its second home loss in 10 days, this time falling to Wyoming, 57-56. The Cougars have a pair of tests in the last two weeks of the season, with a visit from TCU (RPI #39) and a trip to New Mexico (#24) still to come.
4: New Mexico (18-7)
New Mexico holds in place despite falling on the road at Wyoming. The Lobos have must-win games against Air Force and San Diego State before closing out the season at UNLV and home against BYU.
5: Temple (20-6)
The Owls righted the ship, pulling out a tough win against Saint Joseph's, then taking care of business in an easy win at Dayton. Next up is their long-awaited rematch with George Washington, who romped over Temple in the first meeting.
6: Western Kentucky (20-5)
Western Kentucky pushed its win streak to nine games, scoring a season-high 106 points against Arkansas State on Sunday. Now the season is down to two, with a tough road trip to Florida International before the season finale against fellow Sun Belt power Middle Tennessee State on Saturday.
7: Wyoming (17-6)
The Cowboys simply cannot be ignored any longer, as wins over New Mexico and at BYU vault them into the picture. Wyoming has battled through the tough MWC, but those two strong wins, coming this late in the year, carry extra significance.
8: Louisiana Tech (20-4)
The Lady Techsters pushed their winning streak to nine games, and have two more overmatched opponents on the docket for this week, although the long trip to Idaho can create problems.
9: Chattanooga (22-3)
Chattanooga's 21-game win streak continues to stand out, but as proven by Indiana State's fall from grace, the weak schedule leaves no room for error.
10: Bowling Green (22-2)
This week's streaker is Bowling Green, who has ridden a 13-game winning skein onto the list despite a very poor strength-of-schedule. The Falcons have ripped through the MAC with a 13-0 conference record.
TCU (14-9), Hartford (21-2), Stony Brook (15-8)
No.5 George Washington (18-7), No. 9 Indiana State (21-3)
