Carla Thomas' best scoring run of the season has come against Southeastern Conference foes, and it began with a stellar performance against Auburn.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- With Thomas coming off the best game of her career, No. 21 Vanderbilt seeks its second win over the Tigers this season when they meet at Memorial Gym on Thursday.

Thomas had 32 points and nine rebounds to lead the Commodores (16-5, 5-3) to a 73-67 victory over Auburn (12-9, 3-5) on Jan. 13.

Thomas is averaging 16.7 points, but has scored 21.2 per game in her last seven outings. The 6-foot-3 forward had a career-high 33 points and 17 rebounds, helping Vanderbilt overcome Tan White's 47-point game to beat Mississippi State 106-98 in double overtime on Feb. 3.

With four players averaging double figures in scoring, the Commodores rank among the nation's leaders with 82 points per game. Vanderbilt has won three straight following a three-game losing streak.

Davis finished with 15 points, Caroline Williams had nine of her 12 in the first overtime, and Abi Ramsey added 10 for the Commodores.

Earley leads the team with 18.7 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.

Auburn has won two straight after losing seven of eight.

Louise Emeagi scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Auburn beat South Carolina 56-47 on Sunday.

The Tigers trailed 41-33 with just over six minutes to go, but ended the game on a 23-6 run.

Auburn's Alexis Ogubie tied the game at 44 with just over three minutes to go on a pair of free throws, then Natasha Brackett's layup gave the Tigers the lead for good with 2:33 left. Ogubie had nine points and 10 rebounds, while Brackett added 11 points.

Brackett averages a team-high 15.3 points and 1.7 steals per game.

Auburn leads the all-time series 16-15.
