WACO, Texas (AP) - Angela Tisdale scored 15 of her 17 points before halftime when No. 6 Baylor erased an early 10-point deficit and the Lady Bears went on to a 76-56 win over Nebraska on Saturday night. The Cornhuskers (15-5, 4-2 Big 12) were coming off a double-digit home victory over No. 21 Texas A&M, but couldn't duplicate that success on the road, even after jumping out to a 16-6 lead in the first 4 minutes. Baylor (18-1, 6-0) responded with nine straight points, including a 3-pointer by Tisdale before Rachel Allison's basket made it 16-15. After Kelsey Griffin scored for Nebraska, Danielle Wilson had a layup, then a defensive rebound that led to Tisdale's driving layup. That gave the Lady Bears their first lead at 19-18, and they never trailed again on way to their 11th straight win overall - and 13th in a row at home this season. Nebraska won 73-60 against the Aggies on Wednesday night, and had beaten then-No. 15 Texas 56-45 in their conference opener two weeks earlier. They are 11-0 at home, the last 10 wins by double-digits. Allison led the Lady Bears with 20 points and seven rebounds. Jessica Morrow added 16 points and Danielle Wilson had 10. Griffin led Nebraska with 12 points and eight rebounds while Tay Hester had 10 points. Danielle Page, who scored 25 points against Texas A&M, was held to two points on a pair of free throws and was 0-of-6 shooting. Baylor built a 43-31 lead by halftime before Nebraska missed its first four shots and had two turnovers in the first 4 minutes of the second half. By the time Tisdale drove for a layup, her only points of the second half, it was 52-33 and the Huskers called timeout. It was the nightcap of a historic basketball doubleheader at the Ferrell Center, the first time both Baylor teams played on the same day as ranked teams. The 25th-ranked men, in the national rankings for the first time since 1969, lost 77-71 to Oklahoma. The Lady Bears, however, are accustomed to being ranked and had no problems with Nebraska after their slow start. After getting the lead, Baylor kept pouring it on. Tisdale made two free throws and Morrow scored five straight points. Morrow stole a pass and drove the length of the court for a layup and free throw before adding another layup seconds later. Baylor led by as many as 22 points, with the closest Nebraska got after halftime was 43-33 when Griffin made two free throws for the first points of the second half.
