CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT women's basketball team fell to non-conference foe Mount Ida College, 59-45, on Tuesday night. Clara Yuan paced the Engineers (1-2) with 14 points and three steals as Kristen Whaley totaled 11 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Cheryl Kwinn added nine points while Amy Marshall collected five boards.

The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team heads into tonight's match-up against Canisius looking to improve upon their strong 2-0 start this season. The Bonnies picked up their second win of the season on the road against Buffalo. The Brown and White exploded offensively in the second half, putting up 47 points in the second stanza on 67 percent shooting from the field en route to a 77-58 win. With the win at Buffalo, the Bonnies have now won eight of their last nine non-conference games. Tonight's game against Canisius will be the second consecutive game against a member of the Big 4.

Bruin senior forward Chinyere Ibekwe recorded her third career double-double, scoring 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. New Mexico's women's basketball team has signed two players to National Letters of Intent as announced today by head coach Don Flanagan. The Lobos' fall signing class now includes two high school standouts in Emily Starks and Jourdan Erkskine (ERK-skin). Both have signed on to join the women's basketball program for the 2009-2010 season. UNM has now inked three players during the signing period after Caroline Durbin signed last week.

The Redhawks used an 8-0 run to start the second half to build an 18-point lead and coasted to a 60-41 win over Central Arkansas for the program's 200th victory at the Show Me Center. The win extended the Redhawks home winning streak to four game dating back to last season.
