March 25, 2003

Oklahoma State's 2003 NCAA Wrestling Championship team will be honored Thursday at 5:30 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Head Coach John Smith and the entire team will be introduced by Athletics Director Harry Birdwell and President David Schmidly.

The team will be available afterward to sign autographs and take pictures in the east lobby in front of Pete's Authentic. The celebration is free to the public and National Championship T-shirts will also be available for purchase.

The team title was the program's 31st overall and first since 1994, and included seven All-Americans and two National Champions. They also were perfect in conference at 5-0 and reclaimed the Big 12 Championship, including six individual champions.

Johnny Thompson claimed his second individual NCAA crown in three trips to the finals, while Jake Rosholt recorded his first title.
