AMES, Iowa - The Cyclones return to action on the road as they travel to Columbia, Mo., to take on the Tigers on Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. Iowa State's 2003 record stands at 5-8 overall and 0-2 in the Big 12.
Sophomore heavyweight Scott Coleman, currently ranked No. 20 by Amateur Wrestling News, boasts a 3-1 record this season after recording a fall against Oklahoma State's Michael Christian last weekend at Hilton Coliseum. Senior co-captain Aaron Holker leads the Cyclones with a 17-3 overall record at 141 pounds. Holker, ranked No. 4 by InterMat, reigns as the 2002 NCAA 141-pound champion.
ISU's strength also lies with ranked Cyclones 133-pounder Zach Roberson (16-3), 184-pounder Austen Palmer (16-9), 165-pounder Nick Passolano (15-6) and 125-pounder Grant Nakamura (15-9).
The 17th-ranked Missouri wrestling team plays host to Iowa State in hopes of continuing a three-dual winning streak that most recently included a 48-3 victory over Eastern Illinois and an upset of No. 9 Nebraska, 23-19. The Tiger's 2003 record stands at 12-5 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 Conference action.
The MU lineup includes 2002 NCAA qualifiers J.P. Reese (141) and Tyron Woodley (165), and 2002 All-American Scott Barker (184). Senior heavyweight Kevin Herron ranks as Missouri's all-time career pin leader with 39.
