University Park, Pa. - The defending national champion Penn State men's volleyball team will travel to the Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y. area on Nov. 15-16 to play in the 16th Annual Preview to the Final Four tournament. The Nittany Lions will face Pepperdine in a rematch of the 2008 NCAA Championship contest and will also take on George Mason and Loyola-Chicago.
Penn State opens up action in the tournament on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m. against the Ramblers at Webster Schroeder High School in Webster, N.Y. The Nittany Lions then will take on the Waves at 7:00 p.m. that night in the same location. Penn State and George Mason will meet on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 12:30 p.m. at the Buffalo-Niagara Court Center, located in West Seneca, N.Y.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students, and will be available at the door each day. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Hot Shots Volleyball Club and at the T-Shirt Express, 1044 University Avenue in Rochester. Penn State opens the 2009 schedule at the Outrigger Invitational on Jan. 8-10 in Honolulu, Hawaii, against Southern California, Ohio State and the host Warriors.
