Irvine, Calif. -- The current UCI men's volleyball team beat the Alumni 2-1 (32-30, 30-28, 25-30) at Crawford Hall Saturday.

Monte Tucker was named Alumni MVP with Ory Selzer coming in a close second.

The Alumni team consisted of BJ Fell, Spencer Bemus, Jarett Jensen, Todd Steinert, Kyle Weichert, Monte Tucker, Ory Selzer, Aaron Harrell, Brian Thornton, Brett Kohout and UCI assistant coach David Kniffin. Other alums who did not suit up included Leland Quinn and Matt Rauch.

UCI will host a Fall Tournament next Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 15-16). The tournament field includes Pacific, Long Beach State, Stanford, UC Santa Barbara and UC Santa Cruz.
