Aubone now faces Brad Pomeroy in quarterfinal action.

Florida State's Jean-Yves Aubone has advanced to the quarterfinals of the USA F16 Futures Tournament being played in Pittsburg, June 30-July 6.

In first round action, Aubone defeated the No. 5 positioned player Adam El Mihdawy 6-3, 6-4 and followed that with a 7-6 (1), 6-3 victory over Rylan Rizza in second round action Thursday. Aubone now faces Brad Pomeroy in quarterfinal action.

Pomeroy defeated former Seminole Ytai Abougzir 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 to advance to quarterfinal play. Abougzir defeated Vahid Mirzadeh 2-6, 6-4 and 7-6 (5) in first round action.
