Moscow, Idaho - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the University of Idaho Saturday in Moscow, Idaho.
Idaho (13-12) earned the early doubles point, sweeping all three matches. At No. 1, Zack Radetzky and Stefan Feddersen fell 8-2 to Stanislay Glukhov and Andre Potapkin 8-2, while Logan Napolsky and Roman Dojcak fell to Robert Chalkley and Andrew Dobbs at No. 2, 8-5. Rounding out doubles action, at No. 3, GU's (6-15) Cooper Fratt and Conor Feeney fell to Paulo Miranda and Hugh McDonald 8-4.
In singles play, Fratt posted the lone victory of the day as the senior defeated Dobbs in three sets 5-7, 7-6, 10-7. At No. 1, Feddersen fell to Potapkin 5-0 before the contest was retired. Playing No. 2, Docjak dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Glukhov, while Feeney retired after a 4-1 contest to Chalkley at the third spot. At No. 4, Radetzky fell to Huynh in three-sets 6-4, 3-6, 10-4, while Charles Adams rounded out play with a 6-2, 7-6 loss to McDonald.
The Bulldogs will be back in action Sunday as they host Lewis Clark State College at Gonzaga Prep in the final home contest of the season.
