Tulsa Men's Soccer Team to Host Central Connecticut State in NCAA Second Round

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's sixth-ranked men's soccer team will host Central Connecticut State in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 28th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Tickets are available at the gate and are $8 for adults, $6 for youth and $5 for groups of 15 or more.
Tulsa (15-2-2) earned a bye in the first round of the NCAA tournament, as the Blue Devils (9-8-3) posted an impressive 3-2 upset victory over 15th-ranked Harvard. This will be the first meeting between the two schools.
The Golden Hurricane advanced to the tournament, after receiving Conference USA's automatic bid, and winning both the C-USA regular season and tournament titles. TU has tallied a 12-0-2 mark in its last 14 games, including a win over No. 4 Creighton, No. 10 South Carolina and tied #8 SMU.
Tulsa will be led by senior Todd Goddard who has a team-best 10 goals, and junior Eric DeFreitas who has notched eight goals and eight assists. Senior Dominic Cervi has registered 1620:01 minutes in goal this season, earned 77 saves and has a 1.00 goals-against average.
Christopher Brown leads the Blue Devils with five goals, and Yen Klukowski owns four goals and a team-best six assists. Paul Armstrong has recorded 89 saves on the season and has logged 1685:48 in goal.
