No. 10 Lobos Rebound With a 3-1 Win Over Hartwick

New Mexico gets first win of the season.

The University of New Mexico men's soccer team scored a 3-1 win over Hartick in the final day of the Westfield Insurance Cup in Akron, Ohio, today. The Lobos got goals from juniors Chris Wright and Mike Porter and sophomore P.J. Wilson in the win.

New Mexico went down 1-0 early in the match with the Hawks (1-1-0). However, UNM responded with three goals before intermission. Check back to GoLobos.com for complete stats and story when they become available.

New Mexico will now turn its attention to its home opener on Friday, Sept. 7, against Loyola Marymount in the TLC Plumbing & Utility Invitational. The Lobos kick off against the Lions (0-1-0) at 7:00 p.m. (M.D.T.) at the UNM Soccer Complex. Action begins with Central Florida taking on Cincinnati at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Lobo women facing Long Island University at 5:00 p.m.
