Former 49ers Stalwart Harding Helps Richmond Kickers Upset L.A. Galaxy
Harding earned first-team All-Atlantic 10 honors last season

Charlotte, NC - Former 49ers men's soccer standout Evan Harding, who currently plays professional soccer for the Richmond Kickers, played an integral role in helping the Kickers shutout Major League Soccer's L.A. Galaxy, 1-0, in the third round of the US Open Cup, Tuesday, July 10.
Harding played the entire game for the Kickers and he marked Galaxy and United States national team star Landon Donovan most of the second half of the game.
This season, Harding has seen action in 13 games with one goal and two assists for the Kickers.
At Charlotte, Harding earned first-team NSCAA All-Mid Atlantic and first-team Atlantic 10 honors as a senior this past season. As a junior, he was named second-team All A-10. Harding served as team captain as a junior and a senior.
With the Kickers win over the Galaxy, Richmond advances to the fourth round of the Open Cup to face the Carolina Railhawks, August 7.
