SMU head coach Schellas Hyndman's 2008 recruiting class is now up to 15 players
April 15, 2008
DALLAS (SMU) - SMU men's soccer head coach Schellas Hyndman announced Tuesday the signing of midfielder Nima Naderi, the 15th player to sign this year with the Mustangs.
Naderi is from Carrollton, Texas, where he attends Creekview High School. He is the third member of the Andromeda team that won the Under-18 national championship to sign with the Mustangs, joining Andromeda forwards Jochen Graf and Zach Funk on next year's SMU roster.
"Nima is a technically sound central midfielder who has excellent vision and distributes the ball very well," Hyndman said. "He's going to have a chance to compete right away, and will improve our depth in the midfield."
Hyndman and the Mustangs will close out their spring season at 7 p.m. Friday night when they host Midwestern State at Westcott Field. The game is free and open to the public.
