March 10, 2006

Kansas City, Mo. - Former UMKC goalkeeper Todd Dohlman was selected by the Milwaukee Wave in the third round of the 2006 MISL College Draft. Dohlman, a four-year letterwinner for the Kangaroos, was the 22nd overall selection in the draft.

"Todd was a great player for our program and we are excited that he is getting the opportunity to pursue his dream of playing professional soccer," said head coach Rick Benben. "He is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever coached and I look forward to watching Todd's progress as a pro."

During his carer at UMKC, Dohlman compiled a 1.76 goals-against average in 56 appearances, making a UMKC-record 291 saves. He is second in career minutes played, with 4,823, and his eight career shutouts and 18 wins are each good for third all-time. As a senior, Dohlman started all 16 games for the Kangaroos, earning a 1.73 GAA and tallying three shutouts for UMKC. His 105-save performance was the second highest single-season total in UMKC history.
